Tec Diving Courses in Iceland

Technical diving is a form of scuba diving that exceeds the depth and bottom time then recreational diving. Technical divers dive for recreation and no other purpose, so you could call it recreational Tech Diving. What it comes down to is that a Tech Diver gets to stay longer and sometimes at deeper depths. Technical diving courses require dedication from both diver and instructor. The courses entitle advanced training, extensive experience, specialized equipment and often use other breathing gases.

TDI Intro to Tech – 80.000 ISK

Designed to give an experienced diver a taste of tec diving and the equipment setup. It focuses on gas management, superior buoyancy and trim, situational awareness, and equipment selection are useful in any form of diving. Maximum depth is 22 meters. All gear and manuals included

Pre-requisites: Open water diver or equivalent, minimum 17 years of age

TDI Advance Nitrox Diver – 80.000 ISK

Two days course where four dives are done. Covers gas management and using nitrox mixes from 22% to 100% and dive planing. All gear and manuals included.

Pre-requisites: Nitrox diver or equivalent, 25 logged dives, minimum 17 years of age

TDI Decompression Procedures Diver – 80.000 ISK

Two day course where 4 decompression dives are planned and dived. The course can be tought with TDI Advance Nitrox Diver. In this course divers will learn to plan decompression dives to the maxium depth of 45 meters and using nitrox and or oxygen divers certification permitting. All gear and manuals included.

Pre-requisites: Advanced open water diver or equivalent, 25 logged dives, minimum 18 years of age.

TDI Decompressoin Procedures Diver and TDI Advance nitrox diver combined – 150.000 ISK

This is a four day course where both Advance Nitrox and Decompression Procedures are tought. It is more intense and 6 dives are planed and done to cover planing and executing decompression dives using nitrox from 22%-100%. All gear and manuals included.

Pre-requisites: Advanced open water diver or equivalent, 25 logged dives, minimum 18 years of age. Nitrox diver or equivalent, 25 logged dives, minimum 17 years of age.
