Good to know
Always in a dry suit
The water is 2–4 °C in the fissures and cold in the sea all year. You need a dry suit certification or at least 10 logged dry suit dives. Not certified yet? Take the dry suit course and Silfra in one package.
Conditions choose the site
The ocean sites depend on wind and swell. When the sea is rough we dive Bjarnagjá or Kleifarvatn instead.
Getting there
The Þingvellir and Reykjanes sites are day tours with hotel pickup and all equipment. Tear of Odin, Strýtan and El Grillo are longer trips we plan with you.
