Technical Dive Tours in Iceland – Tailored Trips for CCR, Sidemount and Twinset Divers
Iceland offers an incredible variety of opportunities for technical diving, whether you dive on CCR, sidemount or with a twinset: a volcanic lake that reaches 92 metres a short drive from Reykjavík, underwater chimneys in a northern fjord, a remote highland lake and a Second World War wreck on the east coast. We do not run technical dives as fixed day tours. Each trip is planned with you and priced on request. This page explains how that works, where we dive and how to get in touch. For a description of each site, see our overview of technical dive sites in Iceland.
How we plan a technical trip
Technical trips are tailored to the divers who come along. Tell us about your certification, your experience and the configuration you dive, whether CCR, sidemount or a twinset, and which sites interest you, and we will put together a plan and a price for the trip. Because every trip is planned individually, there is no fixed price list for technical diving.
Pickup, transport and the other logistics are agreed as part of the plan. If the weather forces us to cancel a dive, we rebook you when that is possible, and otherwise refund you.

Gas fills and CCR support
We provide nitrox, oxygen and helium fills, as well as sorb fills for rebreathers, and we help with CCRs. All of this is priced on request, so include your gas and rebreather needs when you contact us and we will put them into the plan.
Where we dive technical
- Kleifarvatn – a volcanic lake a short drive from Reykjavík, reaching 92 metres, with rock formations, dramatic fissures and geothermal activity
- The Strýtur in Eyjafjörður – rare underwater chimneys rising from the seabed, standing at around 65 metres
- Hvalvatn – a remote highland lake above Hvalfjörður with crystal-clear freshwater, dived as a tailored expedition
- El Grillo – a Second World War tanker wreck at 45 metres in Seyðisfjörður. Access has been restricted in recent years by decisions of the local port authorities, so ask us about the current situation before planning a trip
Kleifarvatn, Strýtan and El Grillo also have recreational dives, which you will find on our dive tours page. Each site has its own page, and all of them are listed on our overview of technical dive sites in Iceland.
Technical training
We are a TDI dive centre and teach technical diving in Iceland. If you want to work towards dives like these, or add a certification before a trip, have a look at our technical diving courses.
