Reykjanes Dive Explorer – A 3-Day Diving Adventure from Reykjavík
Coastal Waters, Volcanic Lakes & Þingvellir Fissures
Discover a different side of Iceland beneath the surface. Explore Atlantic coastal waters and volcanic dive sites, then finish your journey in the clear waters of Davíðsgjá and Silfra.
With Reykjavík as your base, head out each day for two guided dives before returning to the city. The focus is on diving, with time for equipment preparation, surface intervals and travel between sites.
Your guide chooses from Óttarsstaðir, Flekkuvík, Kleifarvatn, Bjarnagjá and Garður during the first two days, building the programme around weather, sea conditions and access. The final day is dedicated to Davíðsgjá and Silfra in Þingvellir National Park.
3 days · 6 guided dives · Reykjavík base
Two dives per day. Private departures from two divers.
ISK 255,000 per person, including VAT, based on two divers sharing the booking.
The Experience
Stay in one place while discovering a variety of Icelandic dive sites.
This tour combines coastal diving with inland locations in volcanic surroundings. Each day’s plan follows local conditions, allowing your guide to select suitable sites around Reykjanes and the nearby coastline.
Two dives a day make this a trip for divers who want to spend more of their time exploring underwater. Sightseeing stops may fit naturally into the journey, while the daily schedule centres on diving.
Finish with a change of scenery at Þingvellir, where submerged fissures and clear freshwater provide a memorable finale.
Your 3-Day Itinerary
Days 1–2 – Explore Reykjanes Above and Below the Surface
2 guided dives per day
Leave Reykjavík each morning and discover dive sites along the coast and in the volcanic landscapes of Reykjanes.
Your guide selects from Óttarsstaðir, Flekkuvík, Kleifarvatn, Bjarnagjá and Garður according to weather, sea conditions and access. Explore Atlantic coastal waters, dive in the volcanic setting of Kleifarvatn or discover Bjarnagjá, where freshwater and seawater meet.
Four guided dives are planned across these two days, with time for surface intervals, equipment preparation and travel between locations. Return to Reykjavík after each day’s diving.
These are possible dive locations rather than a fixed checklist. The tour does not visit every site, and suitable locations may be revisited when conditions favour them.
Day 3 – Davíðsgjá & Silfra
2 guided freshwater dives
Travel to Þingvellir National Park for the final two dives of your tour.
Discover the submerged rock formations of Davíðsgjá and the clear waters of Silfra. Explore the fissures and the details of their underwater landscapes before returning to Reykjavík.
Together, these freshwater dives offer a striking conclusion to three days of Icelandic diving.
